If anything the fact that the same bugs tend to happen is pretty logical. If a pothole exists in a road then people will tend to hit it. If you have an unexpected step up/down in your house (place I'm at right now has one like 3 ft past the door that has nearly wiped out 3 people) then people well will tend to stumble over it. If you have a piece of furniture in the walkway that you always have to carefully step around then people will tend to run into it more than other pieces of furniture. The same bugs show up because the same things are difficulty to do and build. Keep in mind that what makes it to consumer versions, even betas, are a tiny fraction of the bugs that existed. You'd absolutely shit yourself if you saw what QA faces on internal builds. It's all a bunch of interconnected spiderwebs held together but chewing gum and duct tape. The tl dr is that programming and coding is hard and each bit of the game is not it's own little self contained area. Skills/perks that don't work are common across RPG genres. For example how many MMORPGs have you fallen through the ground? How many times in an MMORPG have you been hit by an ability after dodging behind a wall? Lol, if I've learned anything from working video game QA it's that the same bugs is exactly what you'll see in every game. I don't really see the point in this? Yea sure l4ds may have had launch issues, how many years ago was that now? It at the very least shouldn't be the same damn bugs etc. But look what kind of legacy L4D2 om such humble beginnings. Let's not excuse B4B, but maybe lets give it as much of a chance as we gave L4D2? I get it we'd hope for better, and hopefully bots will be better than these videos at release.
